a map for Sarah

During the summer of '02 my best friend moved to New York. So, on the way there, we took it upon ourselves to take the Great American Road Trip. We had some great stories, and a nice series of polaroids. So, ostensibly to decorate the institutional dorm room she lived in for two months, I put together this project.



The idea was, I traced our path (along the Northern route) in black marker, and reprinted the polaroids on little map flags that, if you remembered where each of them happened, could be placed along the map.



Then, of course, I put it all in a little box decorated with a bumper sticker from Wall Drug.



(I think it looks pretty nice all set up, but it does take up a bunch of wall space.)
